Restarting from cities to relaunch Europe: The Confcommercio-ANCI Protocol
11 October 2016, 16:00-18:00 Organiser: Confcommercio – Imprese per l'Italia Venue: Espace Banca Monte Paschi Belgio, Avenue d'Auderghem 22-28 - 1040 Brussels
The event is meant to present the first results of the "Protocol of Understanding for urban regeneration" signed between Confcommercio – Imprese per l'Italia, the largest Italian General Confederation of SMEs, Professions and Self-Employment and ANCI, the National Association of Italian Municipalities.
Main purpose of the Protocol, to be considered as a good practice at EU level, is that of promoting Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) through the implementation of locally ad-hoc laboratories between economic, social and institutional stakeholders in order to foster urban development by creating and supporting micro and small enterprises, thus facilitating a "self-employment friendly" environment and social inclusion.
With the presence of numerous stakeholders, Italian and European institutional representatives, the first-year experience of the "Confcommercio-ANCI Protocol" will be presented as a good practice of PPP within the "Urban Agenda for the EU", in order to gather ideas to further develop this promising modus operandi for EU urban regeneration.
